2015 (Jr.): All-BIG EAST First Team selection ... Started 19 of MU's 20 matches as a junior and played every minute of all but two contests for a total of 1,866 minutes ... Marquette Invitational Defensive MVP after helping MU to a 2-1 win over Northern Arizona (9/11) and a 1-1 draw with South Dakota State (9/13) ... Scored first goal of the season against SDSU (9/13) ... Named the BIG EAST Conference Defensive Player of the Week (9/14) for play in the Marquette Invitational... Posted career-high two goals in Marquette's 5-1 victory against Creighton (9/27).

2014 (So.): Started 20 of 21 matches on defense as a sophomore en route to All-BIG EAST Second Team honors ... Made her season-debut against Loyola-Chicago (8/22) ... Recorded a shot against Northwestern (8/24) ... Scored her lone goal of the season in MU's 3-0 win over Seton Hall (10/16).

2013 (Fr.): Scored her first collegiate goal vs. Colgate (9/13)...Made collegiate debut at Portland (8/23)... Played all 90 minutes and recorded two shots on goal against Portland State (8/25) ... Added a shot on goal in a 3-0 victory against Xavier (10/6) ... Recorded a shot on goal in a 4-0 victory against No. 6 Georgetown (10/13) ... Posted two shots on goal in a 2-0 semifinal victory in the BIG EAST Conference tournament over St. John's (11/8)... Added a shot on goal in a 2-0 victory over DePaul in the title match of the BIG EAST Conference tournament (11/10).

Prior to Marquette: Proffitt was a four-year letter winner in soccer at Columbus North High School ... Helped her team to three consecutive sectional and regional titles, three consecutive semi-state appearances and runner-up at the state finals in 2010.... Was a three-time first team all-state and all-district and conference player... Nominated for Gatorade Player of the year in 2011 and 2012, despite being injured and out for majority of her senior season ... Ranked in the top 20 in the Indiana High School Athletic Association rankings ... Scored 31 goals and notched 26 assists in addition to her 309 GF- 41 GA record in her career at Columbus North... Played club ball for Carmel United, an Elite Club Nationals League team where she had a hand in winning the ECNL National B Bracket Championship ... Played for the Olympic Development Program Regional Team from 2009 through 2011... Attended the Personal Developmental Program in 2012... Club team finished eighth in the nation in 2013 and was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Top 25 Team Ranking list (23) ... Was called to attend the U18 U.S. National Team Camp in June of 2012, but suffered an injury prior to attending ... Earned academic honors all four years of high school.

MEET THE 'FAMILY'- August 2015

What does being a part of the FAMILY mean to you?
Being a part of the Marquette 'FAMILY' means the world to me. I am from southern Indiana so going home is never really an option during the school year and season. So having a family away from home is super important to me. All my teammates are always there for each other and genuinely care.

What accomplishment during your time at Marquette are you most proud of to-date?
I was proud to make Second Team All-BIG EAST last season. 

After the conclusion of your collegiate career, what are your professional goals (soccer, career, etc.)?
After my collegiate career, I would like to try and play professionally if the opportunity arises.

How did you spend your summer?
I spent my summer in Milwaukee working out with teammates while playing on a semi-pro team in Chicago with teammates Ashley Handwork and Jacie Jermier (National Champs!). I also helped work Wave Camp with some teammates.

Are there any pre-game rituals or superstitions that you have on match day?
Putting a band of blue pre-wrap on my wrist before the game.

Who is your biggest inspiration (athletic or otherwise)?
My parents.

Indianapolis Colts

Favorite sport other than soccer?
To play, volleyball. To watch, basketball.

Cheese curds!

Favorite thing to do in Milwaukee?
Going to Bradford Beach with friends to play volleyball.

Jacie Jermier

Most talented teammate outside of soccer (what area/discipline)?
Katie Ciesulka is great at singing.

Is there anything that others are surprised to learn about you?
People are surprised to hear that I still have three baby teeth.

An interesting fact about your hometown?
Columbus, Indiana is known for its great architecture. 

Favorite vacation destination?

What type of music do you prefer to listen to? Any favorite artists?
I like it all! Country, Rap, Hip-Hop, Pop, House, Alternative, etc. Favorite artist would have to be Rihanna though.

Favorite class taken at MU?
Theology Through the Centuries.
