2002: Ratcliffe saw time in 11 matches and spent most of her year concentrating on defense. She has not taken a shot in her career. She did, however, log her first career point, assisting on a goal against Louisville (Oct. 20). 2001: Ratcliffe made her collegiate debut in the third match of the season, a 2-0 win at Wis.-Green Bay (Sept. 5). In her eight matches played, she showed that she was a talented defender. Marquette held an 18-5 goals scored advantage in the matches in which she played. She saw more time away from home than at MU, playing in five road matches and three home contests on the season. At American: A four-year starter at American High School in Hialeah, Fla., Ratcliffe helped her school to four-straight trips to the state tournament. The Patriots were regional semifinalists each of her final two seasons. In her senior year, American went 21-4, winning their district crown before falling to Coral Gables in the regional semifinals for the second straight year. In her first two seasons, she helped the Patriots advance to the regional championship game. Ratcliffe was an all-state selection as a senior and was enshrined in the American High School Hall of Fame. Ratcliffe is a two-time all-Dade County selection and was chosen as her schools most outstanding female scholar-athlete. Graduating 19th out of 540 students, Ratcliffe was a member of the National Honor Society. Personal: Born May 4, 1983, Ratcliffe is the daughter of Edward Ratcliffe and Jeanna Megaloudis. She has an older brother, Justin, who plays soccer at Notre Dame and younger brother, Nicholas. Her uncle, Nick, played professional soccer for the Houston Hurricanes, New York Aeros and the Las Vegas Americans.
