2001: A full-time starter as a senior, Strachota was the third leading scorer on the team and was a potent offensive threat. She was tied for second on the team in goals with five. She had two assists for a total of 12 points. She was particularly key down the stretch, tallying an assist in MU’s final three matches in which it scored. She was a quick starter for the Golden Eagles, scoring all five of her goals as the first MU goal of a match. Her tally was the winning score against TCU (Sept. 28) and Louisville (Oct. 21).
2000: Strachota started 13 matches last season. She saw plenty of action off the bench during her stretch of non starts. Strachota proved versatile in the midfield providing offensive attacking power in addition to heady defensive skills. Her tall frame helped to prevent the opposition from having a good look toward the goal. She had two goals on the year, scoring against Louisville (Sept. 15) and Charlotte (Oct. 1). She added an assist in the C-USA tournament to bring her season total to five points.
1999: An explosive player, Strachota added offensive punch off the bench. She had four points on one goal and two assists, playing in 20 matches with five starts. She had an important goal and assist in C-USA semifinal victory over Southern Miss (Nov. 4).
1998: Strachota provided an immediate impact as she was the only Marquette freshman to play in all 22 games. She earned three starts at the midfield position. She made her collegiate debut and scored first collegiate point on an assist at Purdue (Sept. 1). She netted first collegiate goal at DePaul (Nov. 1). She tallied five points on a goal and three assists during the season. Additionally she was on the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
At Divine Savior-Holy Angels: She was named all-state, Greater Metro Conference MVP, All-Greater Metro Conference First Team, all-area first team and the 1998 Wisconsin Player of the Year as a senior. She was also the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Area Player of the Year in 1998. An All-Greater Metro Conference First Team as a sophomore and junior, Strachota also found herself on the 1997 all-state team. She served as captain of her squad as a senior and helped the Dashers to a state runner-up finish in her freshman and senior seasons and went to the semifinals during sophomore year. A two-year Wisconsin ODP member, she was also a regional ODP member. She was captain of six-time state champion Milwaukee Kickers Club team. A versatile athlete, Strachota was a three-year member of the Dasher basketball squad and was all-conference second team in basketball in 1998 and helped team to WISAA State Championship in 1996. She was recognized with DSHA's Talent-Leadership Scholarship.
Personal: Born November 19, 1979, Strachota is the daughter of David and Barbara Strachota. She has an older sister, Katie. Strachota is a marketing major.
