March 30, 2007 MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's soccer team will continue spring play Saturday, March 31, when it plays Kansas and Iowa as part of the Jayhawk Spring Tournament. Both games will be played at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex on the campus of the University of Kansas. The Golden Eagles will kick off against Kansas at 10 a.m., and will play Iowa at 11:45 a.m. These games will be the first games of the spring played outdoors. Marquette opened its spring season hosting an indoor tournament at the Marquette gymnasium. It will be a homecoming of sorts for Kansas natives juniors Laura Boyer (Overland Park) and Britni Benage (Leawood), and freshmen Cat Harris (Overland Park) and Mack Ayer (Lake Quivira). Junior Allison Mallams and sophomore Katie Kelly also have ties to the "Sunflower State" as they each played club soccer in Kansas.
