Women's Soccer Hosts Valpo on Sunday

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women’s soccer team will host its final home contest of the spring campaign against Valparaiso on Sunday, April 24 at 12:30 p.m. Central time at Valley Fields.

The Golden Eagles have played at the Valley during each of the previous two weeks, dropping a 2-1 match to Milwaukee on Sunday, April 10 and drawing 1-1 against Loyola-Chicago on Sunday, April 17.

Marquette trailed the Ramblers last weekend until the 49th minute when Carrie Madden connected on a cross to Alyssa Devine, who scored on a one-touch finish. Molly Pfeiffer scored the lone MU goal against the Panthers the previous week.

Valparaiso finished the 2015 fall campaign 7-8-3 overall and 4-4-1 in the Horizon League.

Following the match against the Crusaders, MU will travel to Madison on May 1 for contests against Northwestern and Wisconsin to conclude spring action.
