MILWAUKEE-- The Marquette women's soccer team ended its spring season Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago as part of KICKS Against Breast Cancer Collegiate Invitational. The Golden Eagles beat BIG EAST rival DePaul, 2-0, and tied Wisconsin, 0-0, at the day-long event. The Golden Eagles raised over $3,000 for breast cancer awareness, research and treatment.

In the morning game against DePaul, the Golden Eagles tallied two goals from junior Becky Ryan and sophomore Ashley Bares. In a 3:50 p.m. kickoff against the Badgers, both teams struggled to find the net, though Marquette dominated and controlled play throughout the match.

The Golden Eagles finished the spring season 3-1-3 pverall, tallying wins against Stephen F. Austin, UW-Milwaukee, and DePaul.
