Legault-Cordisco Set for Canadian U20 Training Camp

MILWAUKEE - Marquette junior-to-be Vanessa Legault-Cordisco of the Marquette University women's soccer team is among 24 players called to the Canadian Women's Under-20 Team camp held in Montreal, Quebec July 3-8.

From there, a team of 20 players will be selected for a two-week camp in Italy and Switzerland where the Canadians will play two friendlies versus Italy on July 14 and Switzerland on July 20.

Legault-Cordisco was a member of the Canadian U20 team that earned the silver medal at the 2012 CONCACAF Women's U20 Championship and qualified for the U20 Women's World Cup set for Aug. 18-Sept. 8 in Japan.

Legault-Cordisco started in three matches at the 2012 CONCACAF Women's U20 Championship and scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 over Mexico to win Group A and advance to the semifinals.

Along with being a member of the U20 Canadian National Team, Legault-Cordisco trained with the senior national team in Costa Rica last spring and also played with Canadian National Team that won the 2011 Pan American Games in October.
