Marquette 2015 Fall Schedules: Men's Soccer | Women's Soccer | Volleyball

NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference announced on Tuesday that 19 fall regular season Marquette University sporting events would be broadcast live by the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN).

The women's soccer team will make live appearances in eight of their nine conference matches, while men's soccer will have seven games broadcast and women's volleyball will have four matches covered. The league tournaments in each of those sports, in addition to the cross country championships, will also be covered.

Complete broadcast information for MU's remaining fall contests will be announced at a later date.

The BEDN announced in May that it was expanding its total number of live events in 2015-16 to 225 and on Tuesday unveiled its fall lineup. The 2015 fall schedule features 99 total contests, including a combined 85 regular-season men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball matches, along with 14 BIG EAST Championship events.

When the BIG EAST launched the Digital Network in 2014-15, the league became the first collegiate conference to be hosted on FOX’s mobile platform, FOX Sports Go, the app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go.

Volleyball bookends the 2015 BEDN fall slate as the Xavier-Marquette match in Milwaukee, Wis., on Sept. 23 lifts the lid on the broadcast calendar. Seton Hall visits reigning BIG EAST champion Creighton to wrap up the sport’s first week on BEDN. The Bluejays will serve as host of the 2015 BIG EAST Volleyball Championship, of which the Semifinals will stream on BEDN live from Omaha, Neb., on Nov. 27, for the final event of the fall season. Television coverage for the championship final has yet to be announced. In total, 15 regular-season volleyball matches are set to air on BEDN.

Men’s and women’s soccer action on BEDN gets underway the fourth weekend in September as well, beginning with three men’s contests on Sept. 26. Georgetown hosts 2014 BIG EAST champion Providence, Xavier travels to DePaul and St. John’s welcomes Marquette for the Saturday debuts. The following day, four women’s soccer matches highlight BEDN, including 2014 conference champs DePaul traveling to Xavier, Marquette hosting Creighton, local rivals Seton Hall and St. John’s squaring off in Queens, and Providence hosting Georgetown. In total, 35 men’s and 35 women’s soccer regular-season matches are scheduled for the BIG EAST Digital Network.

The first postseason event of the year will be covered in its entirety on BEDN as the 2015 BIG EAST Cross Country Championships head to Mason, Ohio, on Oct. 31. Both the women’s 6K race and the men’s 8K competition from Golf Center at Kings Island will be streamed, as the Villanova men look to three-peat as BIG EAST champions and Georgetown women aim for their third crown in the last four years.

Postseason coverage continues three days later on campus sites with the First Round of the BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Championship. The No. 4 seed will host No. 5, while No. 6 will travel to No. 3 on Nov. 3. Tuesday’s winner will join the top two seeds at Creighton’s Morrison Stadium Nov. 6, when BEDN coverage continues for the BIG EAST Semifinals. FOX Sports 1 will televise the title match.

The BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Championship commences on Nov. 8 when its First Round games head to campus sites. Semifinal tilts will also be played at the homes of the highest seeds and BEDN will cover both of those games as well, scheduled for Nov. 12. FOX Sports 2 will televise the championship final.

FOX Sports GO is currently available for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire tablets and Fire phones, select Windows devices, and on desktops through Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store.
