MILWAUKEE - College Sports Madness picked Markus Roeders of the Marquette University women's soccer team as its preseason BIG EAST Coach of the Year, and placed three MU players on its preseason All-BIG EAST teams, the website announced Saturday.

Senior midfielder Mary Luba was selected to CSM's All-BIG EAST First Team, while senior midfielder/forward Mady Vicker and junior goalkeeper Amanda Engel both were picked for the second team.

In his 18 seasons as the Golden Eagles' head coach, Roeders has amassed a 272-95-37 record (.760 winning percentage) and has never suffered a losing season. His teams have earned six consecutive NCAA Championship berths, claimed five straight BIG EAST regular season titles and won each of the last two BIG EAST Championships.

Luba was named to the All-BIG EAST Second team in 2013, following a season in which she scored 21 points (eight goals, five assists) and was named the Outstanding Offensive Player of the BIG EAST Tournament. Vicker was also named to the second team, as her six goals in 2013 were tied for third best on the squad.

Engel joined Luba and Vicker on the second team in 2013, registering seven individual shutouts and four shared shutouts in 21 games. Her career goals against average of 0.61 is already the best in Marquette program history.

Women's soccer season tickets are currently on sale for $45. Season ticket holders will receive a free 2014 soccer scarf and have a reserved chair back seat at all 21 home men's and women's matches this fall.
