MILWAUKEE - Marquette University is excited to announce its promotional schedule for the 2017 men’s and women’s soccer seasons.
Both teams have a variety of giveaways for fans, ranging from food items to Marquette gear. Saturday matches are deemed “Signature Saturday,” because the teams will sign autographs following their game. The dates for the men’s team signatures are Sept. 9, Sept. 23, Oct. 7 and Oct. 28, while the women will be signing Aug. 20, Sept. 3, Oct. 8, Oct. 15 and Oct. 22.
The men’s slate is highlighted by a petting zoo for the Sept. 1 UIC match, food trucks on Sept. 9 to celebrate international night and a long sleeve shirt giveaway on Oct. 7 versus Providence. Additionally, students who attend either the Sept. 22 or Sept. 23 volleyball match will be able to pick up a Marquette camouflage bucket hat. Other giveaways include men’s basketball season tickets and VIP Marquette Madness seats on Sept. 23, and free wings for the first 150 students Oct. 25 to celebrate Wing Wednesday.
The women’s schedule also features several exciting promotional items.
The giveaway slate kicks off with a Marquette blender bottle giveaway for the first 200 students at the Aug. 25 tilt against Drake. This date will also be a VIP night for all Kids Club members, who will have exclusive aces to inflatables, a Golden Eagle photo booth, face painting and balloon animals.
Additionally, all students attending the Sept. 28 match against Villanova will be entered to win VIP Marquette Madness packages. Those attending the game on Oct. 8 will have a chance to win men’s basketball season tickets. The women’s soccer team will also have a food truck night on Oct. 14 featuring a variety of cheese-based foods to celebrate national American cheese day, with the first 200 students receiving a voucher for a free food item of their choice.
The promotional slate wraps up with a Marquette sock giveaway to the first 200 students arriving at the Oct. 14 match versus Xavier to celebrate “Socktober.”

Men’s soccer opens the regular season at Valley Fields on Sept. 1 against UIC at 7:05 p.m. Central time, while the women’s team plays its first home match on Aug. 18 at 7:30 p.m. CT against national powerhouse Stanford.
