Maddy Henry on BIG EAST Honor Roll

Maddy Henry made a career-best nine saves against No. 2 Stanford on Friday.

MILWAUKEE – Sophomore goalkeeper Maddy Henry of the Marquette University women’s soccer team earned the fourth BIG EAST Conference weekly accolade of her career on Monday with recognition on the league’s weekly honor roll.

Henry helped Marquette to a 1-1 week with a win over Kentucky and a loss to No. 2 Stanford, while making a total of 11 saves, including a career-best nine against the Cardinal. She also made two stops in Sunday’s 2-1 win over the Wildcats.

The Omaha, Nebraska native was a unanimous All-BIG EAST Freshman Team selection last season and earned All-BIG EAST Championship honors at the league tournament.

The Golden Eagles resume non-conference action on Friday, Aug. 25 at Valley Fields against Drake before making the trek to Louisville for a Sunday matinee.
