Cancer Awareness Night Set for Friday, Oct. 15

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's soccer team will be thinking pink and are encouraging fans to do the same as when it hosts Cincinnati at Valley Fields for Cancer Awareness Night on Friday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
Marquette's Cancer Awareness game coincides with the month of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Marquette will be auctioning off select game-worn jerseys on the GoMarquette.com official online auction. To bid on the remaining pink game-worn jerseys, please email Markus Roeders (email@example.com) with your bid and the jersey number you are bidding on. Bidding will start at $50 for all jerseys. Updated bid sheets for the jerseys not included in the online auction will available at Valley Fields Friday.Game admission will also be waived with a donation at the gate. All money raised from Marquette's Cancer Awareness Night will go towards the Milwaukee Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness Program.
Over the last five years, Marquette has raised thousands of dollars for the Milwaukee Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness Program (MBCCAP). The Milwaukee Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness Program is a program of the City of Milwaukee Health Department. Since its inception in 1990, the program has provided breast cancer screening to uninsured and underinsured women in the city of Milwaukee.
