WSOC’s annual ‘Kick for a Cure’ match is Sunday

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women’s soccer team will host its annual ‘Kick for a Cure’ match and wear special pink kits in support of the fight against breast cancer on Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. against No. 6 Georgetown at Valley Fields.
Prior to and during the first half of the match there will be two authentic pink Marquette women’s soccer jerseys and a team signed ball that will be raffled off at the marketing table. The lucky winners of the jerseys and ball will be announced during halftime.
To be entered into the raffle, a donation of any nominal amount will be accepted. Individuals who donate over five dollars will be given a pink Marquette soccer umbrella, while supplies last. All of the proceeds from the raffle will help American Cancer Society in their work to find a cure.
College against Cancer will be in attendance during the entirety of the match collecting donations for American Cancer Society. College against Cancer is a nationwide collaboration of college students, faculty and staff who are dedicated to eliminating cancer.
Sunday’s match is also Girl Scout Day, part of MU’s ‘Family 4 Pack’ promotion and features double Fanatics points for Marquette students.
