MILWAUKEE - Junior Caroline Fink has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 First Team for her efforts on the pitch and in the classroom.
The Whitefish Bay native is two-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection and a four-semester College of Education Dean’s List honoree. Fink has a perfect 4.0 through her first two years at Marquette as an elementary education and communication studies major.
Fink is the 13th individual from the Marquette women’s soccer program to earn the distinction. MU women's soccer players have earned the honor a total of 21 times.
The midfielder has seen significant field time all 18 games this season, and has been part of the starting lineup 11 times. Fink has found the back of the net once in a match-up against St. John’s on Oct. 2 to help MU claim a 2-0 victory.
With her selection, Fink has claimed her spot on the national Academic All-America ballot, for which voting will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
The Golden Eagles will conclude BIG EAST regular season action on Friday, Oct. 28 against DePaul and will honor their 10 seniors in their last regular season home match.
