Mallams Lands a Spot on the BIG EAST Honor Roll
Oct. 29, 2007
MILWAUKEE - Senior Allison Mallams was rewarded for her play against Pittsburgh and West Virginia as she was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the second consecutive week announced today.
"Al-Mal had another fine weekend and scored two terrific goals," said head coach Markus Roeders. "It's taken some games for her to get her legs back, but she is so dangerous when it comes to creating and scoring. She plays like a determined senior that is enjoying it."
Mallams earned the honor for her two-goal performance last weekend where she registered the game winner in MU's 2-1 win over the Panthers, and scored the Golden Eagles' lone goal against the Mountaineers. Mallams has scored five of Marquette's last six goals. Through eight games for the season, Mallams is second on the team in goals scored five.
The Golden Eagles earned a first-round bye in the BIG EAST Tournament and will travel to Louisville, Ky., to play the Cardinals in the quarterfinals on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 1 p.m. ET.
