Reigle Named to CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Squad

MILWAUKEE--Senior Kate Reigle has been honored for her work on the field and in the classroom and has been named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District 6 squad. This is her third honor on the all-district team as she was also awarded in 2011 and 2012.
"Congratulations to Kate for being named a CoSIDA Capital One All-Academic Award recipient again," head coach Markus Roeders said. "Kate is a tremendous student, an outstanding athlete and an even better person. She continues to strive to be the best on the field, in the classroom and in the community and has had a huge impact on our season so far. She is a fantastic leader and we are excited what the next few weeks will hold for her, our seniors and team."
Reigle has earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average in every semester at Marquette as a biomedical science major. She has tallied one assist this season as the Golden Eagles won their fifth consecutive BIG EAST regular season title. Reigle has played in all 18 games this season and made seven appearances in the starting lineup.
Reigle will now be placed on the national Academic All-America Ballot and voting begins Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Marquette will plays its final regular season home contest Saturday, Nov. 2 against Butler at 5:30 p.m. Reigle, along with her fellow senior classmates will be honored in a pre-game ceremony, while there will be a post-game ceremony and trophy presentation for the BIG EAST title.
