Kate Reigle earned her second Academic All-District honor

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - Senior Ally Miller and junior Kate Reigle have been honored for their work on the field and in the classroom as the duo has been selected to the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 team. This is the first all-district honor for Miller and the second for Reigle, who was named to the squad in 2011.

This year's BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, Miller has accumulated a 3.86 grade point average as an advertising and marketing major. She is also a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award. Miller anchored MU's backfield all season in producing 13 shutouts and allowing just three goals to BIG EAST opponents. The Golden Eagles are allowing just 0.67 goals per game. Miller has scored a career-best four goals this season and gave out one assist.

Reigle has accumulated a perfect 4.0 grade point average in every semester at MU as a biomedical sciences major. She has been a consistent scorer for the Golden Eagles coming off of the bench. Reigle scored five goals this season and handed out five assists for 15 points and has taken 10 shots on goal.

MU takes on Notre Dame in the semifinal round of the BIG EAST Championship today at Noon in East Hartford, Conn.
