MILWAUKEE--For the second straight week, freshman Ashley Handwork has been named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week and senior Emily Jacobson has earned a spot on the league's weekly honor roll as the Marquette women's soccer team concluded BIG EAST play undefeated at 9-0 this season.

Handwork scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Butler on Saturday evening in the game's 82nd minute. It was her second goal in as many games.

Jacobson earns weekly defensive honors for the fourth consecutive week after leading MU's defense that allowed just four shots and two on goal.

The Golden Eagles have won the BIG EAST Regular season title for the fifth straight year and currently own a 16-3 overall record heading into postseason play. Marquette is hosting the 2013 BIG EAST Championship at Valley Fields. No. 2 seed Georgetown will face the winner of No. 3 DePaul/No. 6 Villanova at 5 p.m. CT Nov. 8. Following that contest at 7:30 p.m., No. 1 seed MU will face the winner of No. 4 St. John's/No. 5 Butler. The quarterfinal matches will be played at campus sites Tuesday, Nov. 5.
