Freshman (2011-12) - Pimienta finished her first MU campaign with a 15-14 singles record, which includes three victories at the BIG EAST Championships. At the adidas IU Winter Invitational, she reeled off an undefeated weekend with three consecutive victories. Partnered with Rocio Diaz at the No. 2 position for the majority of the dual season, the duo earned a team-best 12-7 doubles record. Received MU's Academic Award. Earned first letter. Prior to Marquette- Pimienta attended La Universidad Autonoma De Aguascalientes in La Herradura, Mexico. She was named Player of the Year in 2011 by the State Association of Tennis. Pimienta was a regional and sectional champion four years in a row (2005-2008), as well as a national doubles champion for three consecutive years (2006-2008). Personal - Pimienta was born Dec. 5 1992, in Aguascaalientes, Mexico to Carlos Pimienta and Adriana Ibarra. |
