Prior to Marquette - Barry was a four-year varsity player at York Community High School. She earned most valuable player honors for the Dukes during her last three years on the squad, as she led the squad to the sectional championship as a sophomore, junior and senior. Her junior season, she tallied a career-best 34 singles wins and advanced to the quarterfinals of the state tournament. Barry departed York as the winningest singles player in school history with a 113-25 career record, and led the program all-time with the most points accumulated in the state tournament. In 2007, she advanced to the semifinals of the G16 national tournament. Personal - Barry was born May 31, 1991, daughter of Robert and Lois Barry. She will be majoring in biology or environmental studies. |
