Junior (2002-03) -- Garcia Briseno led the Golden Eagles in wins, with 20. Her 64.5 winning percentage was the best on the team in the best in recent history. She piled up a 10-6 tournament mark and was strong at the no. 4 position, going 9-1. She was also strong in doubles, going 8-8 at the no. 2 position. She ended the year on a three-match win streak in singles.
Sophomore (2001-02) -- After not playing singles in the fall while battling injury, Garcia Briseno finished the year strong, winning her final six singles matches and seven of the last eight. In doubles, she closed well with partner Annabelle Espinosa, winning eight of the last 10. She was 10-13 in singles, all in dual match, and an impressive 19-15 in doubles, maintaining above .500 records for her career.
Freshman (2000-01) -- Finished the season with a combined singles record of 19-13. In doubles play, she was 12-10 on the year. She finished 9-4 in doubles play with Laura Garcia, playing at the no. 1 doubles position.
Prior to Marquette -- Briseno was ranked third in Mexico's under 18 group. She was nominated for athlete of the year in 1997 in Coahuila.
Personal -- Briseno is the daughter of Arnoldo Garcia Perez and Deborah Briseno Ramirez and was born on Nov. 28, 1981. She is a business major.
