Day Three Results Get Acrobat Reader

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.--The Marquette women's tennis team concluded its first spring competition at the Hoosier Invitational on Monday afternoon in Bloomington.

The Golden Eagles played in just two rounds of doubles to finish the tournament and the tandem of Paula Tormos Sanchez and Diana Tokar had great success on the court, winning both matches. In the first, the duo defeated Kim Schmider and Madison Appel from host Indiana, 7-6 (7-4) before taking down Caitlin Bernard and Alicia Robinson, also from IU, 6-3.

Silvia Ambrosio and Fleur Eggink also earned a win in the fifth round of doubles, topping Bernard and Robinson, 6-3.

MU will be off until Jan. 28 when the Golden Eagles open dual action, hosting UIC at 10 a.m. Central at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
