MU Finishes Competition at the IU Winter Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.- Competition concluded for the Marquette University women's tennis team at the IU Winter Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana.

Day three of the competition consisted of just doubles play. Marquette's tandem of Ali Dawson and Aleeza Kanner were the lone Golden Eagles to notch a victory. The senior and junior defeated a doubles team from hosts, Indiana 8-6. 

MU's Diana Tokar partnered with Indiana's Paula Guiterrez from Indiana to defeat Nada Boarman and Ansley Boarman from Abilene Christian 8-1 in a special doubles match with a duo from two different schools.

The Golden Eagles prepare now for a five-match homestand, taking place at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium. First serve is against cross town rival, UW-Milwaukee on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m., followed by Bradley at 5 p.m. Central time.
