MILWAUKEE-- Despite being playing with a shortened roster, the Marquette women's tennis team made quick work of Green Bay on Sunday afternoon, blanking the Phoenix, 6-0 at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

The Golden Eagles (1-1) earned the doubles point playing with just the No. 1 and No. 2 position as Paula Tormos Sanchez and Natalija Popovic claimed a 6-2 win at the top spot, while Milica Novakovic and Andrea Amortegui earned a 6-1 decision on the No. 2 court.

Tormos Sanchez won in the No. 1 singles position, 6-2, 6-1 as Popovic earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2. Novakovic won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 on the No. 3 court, while Amortegui made swift work on the No. 4 court in a 6-1, 6-0 win. Isabella Franks made her first appearance of the match playing at No. 5 singles and took an easy 6-1, 6-0 win to help keep MU perfect for the day.

Marquette will take to the road and travel to Indiana for an 11 a.m. CT matchup with the Hoosiers on Saturday, Feb. 3.
