MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's tennis team was in back in action on Saturday, but faltered against Minnesota, dropping a 6-1 decision at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

Silvia Ambrosio and Paula Tormos Sanchez topped the Gophers, 6-2 on the No. 1 doubles court, but the Golden Eagles (4-4) dropped the doubles point to open the match.

It was quite a battle on the singles courts, as positions 1,2,3 and 4 each went into extra sets, but Fleur Eggink scored the lone point for Marquette as she pulled through to a 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 win on court No. 4.

MU is back in action on Sunday, hosting NIU at Noon.
