MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's tennis team earned its second consecutive sweep of the weekend, blanking city-foe Milwaukee, 7-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles got back to .500 on the season with the victory and own a 5-5 record currently. MU dominated doubles play dropping just seven total sets among the three courts.

In singles action, Natalija Popovic played in the top spot and earned a 6-3, 6-1 win, while Milica Novakovic earned a swift 6-2, 6-0 victory on the No. 2 court. Fleur Eggink won, 6-1, 6-2 on the No. 3 court, while Andrea Amortegui topped her opponent, 6-1, 6-0 in the fourth position. Lesley Foe and Isabella Franks wrapped up the sweep at the No. 5 and No. 6 courts, respectively.

MU will be off until March 13 when the squad takes on Columbia at 10 a.m. CT in Miami, Fla.
