MILWAUKEE--Junior Ali Dawson tallied the lone point for the Marquette women's tennis team (6-4) as it fell, 6-1 to Minnesota on Saturday.

Senior Rocio Diaz and sophomore Erin Gebes improved to 4-1 at No. 2 doubles as the duo bested Minnesota's (10-3) Natallia Pintusava and Julia Courter, 8-5.

Dawson knocked off Pintusava at the No. 2 singles spot with ease, 6-2, 6-2, to improve to 7-3 this season and a perfect 2-0 in the No. 2 slot.

Gebes fought hard at No. 3 singles, but fell in a third set to the Gopher's Jessika Mozia, 4-6, 6-4, 1-6.

The Golden Eagles will embark on their spring break trip this week and travel to UNLV on Tuesday, March 11. First serve is slated for 11 a.m. Central time. The squad will face Ohio State on Friday, March 14 in Las Vegas, Nev.
