Marquette Falls, 7-0, at No. 24 Arizona State

TEMPE, Ariz.--The Marquette University women's tennis team (8-4) was back in action on Tuesday evening at No. 24 Arizona State in Tempe. The Golden Eagles fell to the Sun Devils, 7-0.

MU dropped the doubles point to ASU quickly, which opened the match. the No. 1 duo of Ana Pimienta and Erin Gebes did not finish after the Sun Devils claimed the point.

In singles action Ali Dawson won her opening set, 6-4 and fought to hold on in the third set before falling in a 10-4 tiebreaker on the No. 3 court. Vanessa Foltinger pushed her opponent to extra games in her first set, but dropped a 7-6, 6-3 decision on court six.

The Golden Eagles will look to get back to winning ways on Thursday as the squad travels to Grand Canyon, continuing their spring break trip to Arizona.
