The Marquette women's tennis team completed a perfect week in California on Thursday as the Golden Eagles topped Cal State Northridge, 4-1 on Thursday.

Marquette (8-4) got off to a quick start by getting on the board first, claiming the double point. Silvia Ambrosio improved to a perfect 5-0 at No. 1 doubles with an easy 6-1 win before Diana Tokar and Fleur Eggink clinched the point with a 6-3 win on the No. 2 court.

In singles action, Courtney Hebard gave the Golden Eagles their second point as she tallied a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles, while Paula Tormos Sanchez claimed a 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles, which put MU in front, 3-0. Lesley Foe clinched the win for Marquette, after CSUN earned a singles point, playing to a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles.

The remaining matches went unfinished.

Marquette concludes its spring break week on Saturday, March 18 at 6 p.m. CT against Xavier at the Eastern Hills Tennis Club.
