SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- The Marquette University women's tennis team (10-8) concluded its weekend trip in Indiana at No. 36 Notre Dame on Sunday morning and fell, 7-0, to the Fighting Irish at the Eck Tennis Pavilion.

The Golden Eagles fell behind early dropping two doubles matches. While on court No. 1, senior Ana Pimienta and junior Erin Gebes went unfinished after Notre Dame clinched the first point.

In singles, MU fought hard but was unable to capitalize. No. 1 Pimienta fell to Quinn Gleason, 6-3, 6-2 and on court No. 2 Gebes dropped 6-0, 6-3 to Monica Robinson. Marquette did not force any third sets on the day.

MU will conclude their road play on Sunday, April 5 when it heads to Fort Meyers, Florida to take on Florida Gulf Coast on Easter Sunday. First serve is scheduled for 9 a.m. Central time. The Golden Eagles return home to finish regular season play, when it hosts DePaul on Friday, April 17 at 3 p.m. CT and Seton Hall on Sunday, April 19 at 9 a.m. CT.
