SOUTH ORANGE, N.J.--The Marquette University women's tennis team concluded a two-match East coast swing on a high note as the Golden Eagles came out with a 5-2 win at Seton Hall on Saturday.

The Golden Eagles got back to their excellent doubles play taking the early point with two of three doubles victories. Ering Gebes and Silvia Ambrosio improved to 10-4 in dual action with a 6-3 victory on the No. 1 court, while Aleeza Kanner and Leoni Daems won their sixth match this season with a 6-0 sweep at the No. 3 position.

MU earned wins at No. 1, 4, 5 and 6 singles courts. Ambrosio played strong to walk away with a 7-6, 6-1 decision on court one, while Paula Tormos Sanchez won her team-high 13th match of the season as she cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 4. Kanner played to a 6-3, 6-3 decision in spot five, while Courtney Hebard returned to the singles; lineup on the No. 6 court with a 6-3, 7-5 decision for her fifth win during the dual match season.

With the win the Golden Eagles improve to an 11-7 record this season with just one regular season match remaining on the schedule. MU will have one week off before traveling to DePaul on Friday, April 22 at 6 p.m. Central time in Chicago. Following that match Marquette will begin play in the 2016 BIG EAST Tournament.
