Freshman Gillian Hush and junior Maggie Wilson tallied singles wins as the Marquette women's tennis team wrapped-up the second day of competition at the Bronco Invitational hosted by Western Michigan.

Wilson will play for first place in the Brown Flight Sunday after earning a come-from-behind victory over Marcela Rivero of Eastern Michigan. Wilson was shutout in the first set, 6-0, but rallied to win the second set, 7-6, and the tie-breaker, 10-7. Wilson will play DePaul's Sandra Zmak Sunday in the finals.

In the Black Flight sophomore Rachael Hush earned a bye in the consolation side of the bracket and will play Western Michigan's Amanda Moccia Sunday for her last match of the tournament. Also in the Black Flight, freshman Paola Calderon dropped a 6-3, 6-1 decision to Purdue's Stephanie Wooten.

Meanwhile, in the Gold Flight consolations, Gillian Hush defeated West Virginia's Stephanie LaFourtune, 6-3, 6-1. She will face Mountaineer, Olga Elkin, Sunday.

On the doubles side of the Silver Flight consolation bracket, sophomore Christina Ruiz and Calderon teamed to defeat LaFourtune and Burton of West Virginia, 8-6, while Wilson and Gillian Hush took down Purdue's Magi and Pushkina, 8-3. Ruiz and Calderon and Wilson and Hush will play each other on Sunday.

The third and final day of competition will commence at 8 a.m. CT on Sunday.
