COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--The Marquette University women's tennis squad continued day two of the United States Air Force Invitational on Saturday in Colorado Springs.

The Golden Eagles had singles success with senior Ali Dawson earning a victory on her court with a 7-6 (4), 6-3 defeat over Marcelli Magday from the host Falcons.

Junior Vanessa Foltinger fought through her singles set to earn a win over Kallie Sperry of Utah State, 7-6, 4-6, 10-8, while junior Erin Gebes and freshman Paula Tormos Sanches outlasted Air Force, 8-6, in doubles play.

Aleeza Kanner narrowly missed a victory in her singles flight with a long match against Allie Cooper from Colorado State. Copper earned the victory with a 4-6, 6-3, 11-9 decision.

The Golden Eagles will conclude the final day of competition on Sunday on the Academy outdoor courts.
