EAST LANSING, Mich. - Marquette women's tennis players, junior Erin Watkins and freshman Kylie Moore, lost their first singles matches in the round of 64 of the main singles draw of Wilson/ITA Midwest Tennis Regional Championships Saturday on the campus of Michigan State University. With the loss, both are eliminated from tournament.

In the round of 64 of the main singles draw, Watkins was defeated by Minnesota's Ida Malmberg, 6-2, 6-3, and Christian Thompson took the same result over Moore.

In consolation singles play, Momei Qu of Illinois downed Watkins 6-1, 6-1.

The Golden Eagles wrap-up fall play in East Lansing and will kickoff its spring season on Saturday, Jan. 20, against Illinois at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
