MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's tennis team begins the dual play portion of its 2014-15 campaign this Saturday, Jan. 24, as it welcomes Milwaukee and Bradley to the Helfaer Tennis Stadium. The Golden Eagles will face the Panthers at 10 a.m. Central Time before taking on the Braves at 5 p.m.

Last year, Marquette made quick work of Milwaukee when the two teams met, with the Golden Eagles dispatching their crosstown foes 6-1 at home. Marquette swept doubles competition on that day and only dropped a point on the No. 6 court. MU holds a 25-2 advantage in the all-time series against the Panthers, with their last loss coming all the way back in the 1978-79 season.

The Golden Eagles have not gone up against Bradley since the 1991-92 season, when they swept their opponents. Marquette owns a 5-2 all-time record against the Braves.

Saturday's matches will be the first competition Marquette has seen since concluding the three-day IU Winter Invitational on Monday. Senior Ana Pimienta amassed a 4-1 record in her singles and doubles matches on the first two days in Bloomington, Indiana, while the doubles team of senior Ali Dawson and junior Aleeza Kanner found success on the tournament's final day.

Following this weekend's matches, the Golden Eagles will continue their home stand with two matches against UIC and Green Bay on Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT, respectively.
