Women’s Tennis Continues Four Match Home Stand Against UIC

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women’s tennis team will continue its dual season with a matchup against UIC on Friday, Jan. 29 at 12 p.m. CT at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
Marquette will be UIC’s first dual opponent of the spring, but the Flames will look to build off of the 32 singles wins and 12 doubles wins in a four tournament stretch during their fall schedule.
The Golden Eagles have experienced success of their own, sweeping their first dual tilt of the season against IUPUI, 7-0. Later that day, Marquette bested crosstown foe Milwaukee, 7-0.
After winning the doubles championship at the IU Winter Invitational, the duo of Silvia Ambrosio and Erin Gebes has continued to succeed, winning their doubles matches against IUPUI and Milwaukee. The two have now won nine consecutive doubles matches as a team.
Following its match with UIC, Marquette will have Saturday off before concluding a four match home stand on Sunday, Jan. 31 against Wisconsin at 1 p.m. CT. Following the matchup against the Badgers, the Golden Eagles will travel to Iowa City, Iowa to take on Eastern Michigan and Iowa on Feb. 6 and 7, respectively.
