Marquette Heads to Indiana

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women’s tennis team travels to Bloomington, Ind. on Saturday, Feb. 3 to take on the Hoosiers. First serve is slated for 11:00 a.m. Central time.

The Golden Eagles (1-1) are coming off a 6-0 sweep of Green Bay on Sunday afternoon at Helfaer Tennis Stadium, despite playing with a shortened roster. Paula Tormos Sanchez and Natalija Popovic claimed a 6-2 win at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions. Tormos Sanchez also won at the No. 1 singles position, followed by Popovic and Novakovic winning their respective positions.

Marquette Claims 4-2 Win at Indiana
The Marquette women's tennis team concluded a weekend trip to Indiana and pulled out a 4-2 victory over Indiana on Sunday to finished the weekend 2-0.

The Hoosiers (4-0) are coming off a 6-1 win against Xavier on Feb. 27 at home. The Hoosiers came down to the No. 2 doubles match to decide the point against the Musketeers. Junior Madison Appel and Freshman Michelle McKamey won it for the Hoosiers, 6-3.

Following the matchup with Indiana, the Golden Eagles will travel to Minnesota on Friday, Feb. 9.
