MILWAUKEE - Following a four match home stand to begin its dual slate, the Marquette University women's tennis team will hit the road for two matches this weekend, Feb. 6-7 against Eastern Michigan and Iowa, respectively.

After the Golden Eagles won their first three matches of their dual campaign with a cumulative record of 20-1, the squad suffered its first setback of the season last weekend, falling to Wisconsin, 5-2.

Marquette's first opponent of the trip will be Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 1:00 p.m. CT, which will be the first matchup between the two squads since the 1995-96 season, which resulted in a 9-0 Golden Eagle victory. Eastern Michigan's dual record sits at 2-3 this season, having won two of its past three contests.

The doubles duo of Silvia Ambrosio and Erin Gebes will look to avenge their most recent loss against Wisconsin, which was preceded by a 10-match winning streak, including the doubles championship at the IU Winter Invitational.

The weekend will conclude when Marquette takes on Iowa on Sunday, Feb. 7, with first service slated for 12:00 p.m. Central Time. The last time the two schools met, Iowa defeated Marquette at Helfaer Tennis Stadium, 6-1, during the 2013-14 campaign.

Marquette will return home for a week of practice before traveling to Kalamazoo, Michigan to take on Western Michigan on Feb. 13, which will conclude MU's three match road trip.
