MILWAUKEE--The Marquette University women's tennis team (3-3) is set to take on crosstown rival Milwaukee on Wednesday evening at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium. First serve is slated for 5 p.m. Central time.

This past weekend, the Golden Eagles split a doubleheader against Iowa and Western Illinois. Marquette fell to Iowa, 6-1, in the first match of the doubleheader, but the Golden Eagles were able to bounce back and pick up a 7-0 sweep vs. Western Illinois in the second match.

Wednesday's opponent, UW-Milwaukee (1-3), recently suffered a 7-0 sweep at the hands of DePaul, and is struggling to find its legs early this season.

A victory on Wednesday will allow the Golden Eagles to complete their second 2-1 homestand of the season and would put the Golden Eagles above the .500 mark for the third time this season.

Following Wednesday's match, Marquette will head to Indiana for road match-ups against Ball State on Friday and IUPUI-Fort Wayne on Saturday.
