MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women’s tennis team will make its third trip to Bloomington this season, to take on Indiana on Sunday, Feb. 28 at the IU Tennis Center with first service slated for 10 a.m. Central time.

The Golden Eagles previous two trips to Bloomington were for IU sanctioned tournaments. Marquette experienced success on both occasions, most recently claiming the doubles championship at the IU Winter Invitational, when Erin Gebes and Silvia Ambrosio swept their four matches to claim the title.

The Hoosiers, looking to halt their current two-match losing skid, will take on fellow-BIG EAST member, DePaul on Saturday, before welcoming MU on Sunday.

MU will look to build on its impressive singles play during dual season, playing to a combined 34-14 (.708) record, led by senior Aleeza Kanner who has won all six of her singles contests. The doubles play has been just as strong, led by the duo of Ambrosio and Gebes, who have won 12 of their last 14 doubles matchups, which includes a 4-2 mark during dual season.

Following the meeting with Indiana, the Golden Eagles will take on Drake University on March 5 in Des Moines, Iowa.
