MILWAUKEE—The Marquette women’s tennis team wraps up a seven-game homestand with a match against Drake University March 3 at 12 p.m. Central at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

The Golden Eagles enter this competition after a 1-1 weekend featuring a loss to Minnesota and a win against NIU, bringing the overall record to 5-4. Silvia Ambrosio and Fleur Eggink continued their strong play over the weekend, with Ambrosio notching one point and Eggink two to bring their individual records to 5-2 and 6-1, respectively.

The Drake Bulldogs have a 4-3 record and most recently defeated Colorado State University in a comeback victory on Feb. 18. Summer Brills and Tess Herder lead the Bulldogs into Friday’s faceoff with 4-1 and 5-0 records, respectively. In its previous match against Marquette last March, Drake fell 6-1 on its home-court.

After this showdown, the Golden Eagles have a week off before they head onto the road to take on UC Riverside at 3:30 p.m. CT on March 14.
