Women's Tennis Travels to Miami for Two Spring Break Matches

MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette women's tennis team will travel to Miami, Fla. over spring break to take on Columbia and Florida International, respectively. First serve is slated for 10 a.m. Central time on Tuesday March 13 and 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 17.
The Golden Eagles (5-5) look to continue their win-streak in Miami. Marquette most recently swept Northern Illinois and Milwaukee in 7-0 matches. The Golden Eagles are now 5-1 at home. MU dominated doubles play against Milwaukee, dropping just seven total sets among the three courts.
Columbia (5-4) is coming off a two-match losing streak to Maryland and Kentucky. Captain Andrea Kevakian has won 14 of her last 15 singles matches and sports a 15-3 overall record.
Florida International (6-1) has not lost since their second match of the year on Jan. 26 to Wichita State. The Tigers' most recent win came against Marshall University, where the duo of Maryna Veksler and Ulyan Grib, currently ranks No.7 in the Oracle/ITA National Doubles Rankings.
After the spring break trip, Marquette will be back in action on Sunday, March 25 at home against Butler.
