Women's Tennis Travels to Indiana

MILWAUKEE- The Marquette University women's tennis team will continue its season-high five game road trip when it travels to Indiana to face Butler on Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m. Central time and Notre Dame on Sunday, March 29 at 11 a.m. CT.

Marquette (9-7) is coming off a weekend of dual-play against Xavier and Cincinnati in which the Golden Eagles dropped both matches. MU fought hard last Sunday in a tight finish against Cincinnati but unfortunately fell 4-3. The final point was decided during No. 4 singles. No. 3 doubles duo, Diana Tokar and Paula Tormos Sanchez are currently looking to continue their winning ways and extend their team-best two-match win streak.

Before facing Marquette, Butler (4-13) will play South Dakota on Friday, March 27. The Bulldogs previously faced Ball State and fell in a 6-1 decision. No. 2 singles Bailey Padgett was the lone victory for the Bulldogs.

The Fighting Irish are currently ranked No. 36 in the nation. Notre Dame (10-6, 5-3 ACC) will take on North Carolina State on Friday, March 27 prior to facing Marquette Sunday morning. The Fighting Irish dropped a close contest, 4-3, to No. 57 Georgia Tech on the road in their last outing. Notre Dame features the No. 20 tandem Quinn Gleason and Monica Robinson who are 18-6 in doubles this season..

Following its trip to Indiana, the Golden Eagles will complete their road-trip when traveling to Florida to face Florida Gulf-Coast on Easter Sunday, April 5 at 9 a.m. CT.
