MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's tennis team will host its final home match of the 2010 season Saturday, April 10 at Noon against Rutgers at Helfaer Tennis Stadium. The Golden Eagles will recognize Elly Strother and Maggie Wilson as part of Senior Day festivities prior to the match against the Scarlet Knights.

Sophomore Gillian Hush, a two-time BIG EAST Tennis Player of the Week, has tallied 17 wins in dual play, while the duo of juniors Rachael Hush and Christina Ruiz are 16-5 at the No. 1 doubles position.
The Scarlet Knights (11-5) enter the weekend with three consecutive wins, including eight of their last 10. Last season, Rutgers finished fourth at the BIG EAST Championships, tallying a 4-1 victory over Marquette on the second day of play. As of March 25, sophomore Leonora Slatnick and junior Amy Zhang each have 10 singles wins to lead the Scarlet Knights. Zhang has also paired with sophomore Jennifer Holzberg in doubles for a 9-2 record, all from the No. 1 position.
Over the 2009-10 season, the Golden Eagles are 2-0 against teams from the BIG EAST Conference. MU knocked off both Villanova and Louisville in the opening weekend of the spring season, 7-0 and 5-2, respectively. Marquette will also take on DePaul and Notre Dame on April 17 and 18 before the BIG EAST Championship.
