Golden Eagles Welcome Kelly Barry to the Squad

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's tennis team signed Kelly Barry to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Jody Bronson has announced.

Barry, a native of Elmhurst, Ill., joins the Golden Eagles from York Community High School where she led the squad to three consecutive sectional championships over her storied four-year career. She departed the Dukes as the school's winningest singles player in history with an 113-25 record, and leads the York program with the most points accumulated at the state tournament.

Barry was named team most valuable player each of her final three seasons at York. She finished in the top 24 at state as a sophomore and tied for ninth in both her junior and senior seasons.
