MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Marquette University women's tennis team has been named a 2012 ITA All-Academic Team. The Golden Eagles had a total cumulative team G.P.A of 3.2 or higher for the fall 2011 and spring 2012 academic year.

In addition to earning the team All-Academic award, MU had four individual recipients earn ITA Scholar-Athlete Status for having a cumulative G.P.A of 3.5 or higher. Former Marquette student-athlete Kristina Radan, junior Rocio Diaz and sophomores Ali Dawson and Ana Pimienta are all 2012 ITA Scholar-Athletes.

"I am very proud of our team," head coach Jody Bronson said. "They are committed to their education at Marquette and have made school a priority. They certainly deserve this recognition."

The Golden Eagles begin the 2012-13 season with the 37th Annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic hosted at The Town Club in Fox Point, Wis.
