EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Marquette women's tennis team concluded day two at the 2012 Auto-Owners Invitational earning doubles and singles victories.

Ali Dawson and Aleeza Kanner defeated Theresa Meumeyr and Miloslava Shudtova, 8-5 in Draw B Doubles. Also in the draw, Rocio Diaz and Aina Hernandez Soler defeated Sammi Hornbarger and Katie Boeckman of Dayton, 8-3.

In singles, Dawson defeated Mackenze Sherwood, 6-4, 6-2. Freshman Erin Gebes put her undefeated record to the test and came out on top with a 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 defeat against Alix Thurman of Miami (Ohio).

Laia Hernandez Soler won, 6-3, 6-3 in Draw E Singles. In Draw C Singles, Ali Dawson held her own and A. Hernandez Soler defeated Allyson Westling, 6-3, 6-2.

Vanessa Foltinger repeated with a victory in Draw D Singles; 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.

The Golden Eagles will conclude competition beginning Sunday morning.
