Women’s Tennis Travels to IU Regional

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette University women’s tennis team embarks on its final fall tournament of the season as the Golden Eagles travel to Bloomington, Indiana, to compete in the IU Regional, hosted by Indiana University.

Marquette will bring its complete roster to Bloomington, in order to play more matches in the last competition of the season. Doubles and singles draws will be put together will nine school and 40 competitors set for the weekend.

Doubles pairs for the Golden Eagles include Diana Tokar and Paula Tormos Sanchez, seeded fourth, Fleur Eggink and Silvia Ambrosio seeded seventh, while Courtney Hebard and Isabella Franks will participate in doubles round robin.

In singles action, Eggink will be seeded first in Flight 3 and will open play against Yana Golovkina from SIUC, while Tormos Sanchez is seeded third in the same flight and will square off against Denise Azcui from Western Michigan in the opening round.

Tokar and Hebard will play in singles round robin, both opening matches at 11:15 a.m. Central time on Friday.
