Marquette Resumes Fall Competition at Western Michigan
Nov. 8, 2012
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's tennis team will continue its fall campaign this weekend (Nov. 9-11) when it travels to the WMU Super Challenge in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Along with MU and the host Western Michigan Broncos, the field includes Bowling Green, Indiana, Penn State, Louisville, DePaul, Iowa State, and Notre Dame.
Friday and Saturday will feature one round of doubles and one round of singles, with an additional round of singles on Sunday.
Matches will be held on the campus of Western Michigan University.
The Golden Eagles should be well rested after a month off of competition. Marquette last competed at the Spartan Invitational (Oct. 5-7), and achieved great success. The tandem of Rocio Diaz and Aina Hernandez Soler went unbeaten in Draw B doubles in the tournament and were east champions. Laia Hernandez Soler was the champion of the E singles bracket.
This will be the final fall tournament for the Golden Eagles. They will resume competition in January.
