13 Samantha Hertaus Class: Sophomore Hometown: New Prague, Minn. High School: New Prague Height: 5-7 Position: DS

Prior to Marquette: Hertaus was a three year letter winner in volleyball at New Prague High School. She earned All-Conference honors all three years while also serving as team co-captain in 2007. Hertaus was named to the All-Tournament Team for the Farmington Invitational. During her senior season in 2007 she recorded 310 assists, 145 digs and 101 blocks. Hertaus also lettered in gymnastics in high school.

Personal: Hertaus was born in New Prague, Minn., to Ron and Lisa Hertaus. She has one brother, Adam. Hertaus intends to major in pre-med.
